“Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen” (Romans 15:33).
Pastor Kenward glanced up from his hymnal as he was singing praises to the Lord with his church family. The very full church was singing beautifully about the Lord’s wonderful peace. There seated side-by-side on the left side of the worship center were two elderly widows. The widow on the left talked only of her problems. She focused on the uncertainties and difficulties she faced. She seldom read God’s Word. She didn’t pray. Her problems were big and her focus on the Lord was small. Seated beside her was a dear Godly lady who lived just the opposite way. Her problems actually were more significant, and yet she had a sweet peace about her. She focused on Christ and found great comfort in His Word. Interesting, isn’t it?
For today: How are things going in your life? Are you experiencing God’s peace?
