“And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary His mother, and fell down, and worshipped Him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto Him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh” (Matthew 2:11).
Time has gone by and the Lord Jesus is not in the manger any longer. He is now in a house. What an amazing moment it must have been for Mary. Dignitaries arrived and fell on their faces before the little Lord Jesus. He is worthy, oh, so worthy of worship. He is worthy of our gifts. He is worthy of such honor. It has always been a blessing to me to watch how people act as they meet their long anticipated baby coming into their family. It has brought more than one smile to my face. However, there was one such Baby, the Lord Jesus Himself, who drew worship and adoration. Though no longer the little baby boy of Bethlehem, He is most assuredly worthy of all worship and honor and praise and glory.
For today: Are you worshipping Him? Do you love to honor Him?
