“O LORD, Thou hast searched me, and known me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it” (Psalm 139:1,6).
I am with David. I know that God knows me and everything about me. But I cannot fully understand His tremendous grace in ever wanting to know someone like me. Yes, David, I totally agree with you. It reminds me of a conversation Pastor Kenward was having quite some time ago. “You cannot hide from God. He sees you. He knows you. He knows your every thought and action.” The young man Pastor Kenward was counseling laughed as he sarcastically looked around the room and said, “That is silly talk. I don’t see any God anywhere. Even if there is one, He will never see me. I am good at covering up my tracks.” How horrible to think this way. It is a restraint to remember that God sees everything, but it is also a grand and reassuring blessing to know that I am not out of His sight because I am in His heart and mind.
For today: If you know Christ, be assured that He loves you and that He knows you as well.
