“In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: He heard my voice…It is God that girdeth me with strength” (Psalm 18:6, 32).
“I don’t know how you are facing this,” Ken said to his boss. “You have been attacked, you have been undermined, I know that you haven’t said much, but life’s been rotten for you lately,” he continued. Taking his reading glasses from the corner of his desk and putting them on his face, Larry smiled at Ken as he opened his top desk drawer. Pulling one of his Bibles out and laying it on the desk, Larry said, “Ken, thanks for caring. That means a lot to me. It has been tough. But here is how I have faced this situation. It is not that I am so smart. It’s not that I am so strong. It is that the Lord, to Whom I belong, is so smart and so strong. He is the source of my strength.” It was a great conversation after hours in Larry’s office. What are you facing today? Don’t try to face it alone. Our OMNIPOTENT LORD wants to uphold you.
For today: Before the Lord strengthens you, He wants to save you. Do you know Him as your Savior?
