Just when you thought this current culture couldn’t get any more mixed up, you turn on the news and it seems to be getting worse.
I’m reminded of what the Lord told Isaiah. Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter. Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes (Isaiah 5:20-21a).
“It’s not that I’m growing old and cranky,” Ernie said. “I am old, but hopefully not old and cranky. But I can tell you this, John, what I am going to say has nothing to do with age. It has to do with what the Lord says,” Ernie continued after he placed his glass of water on the table. “No, it’s not a matter of age. It’s a matter of if the Lord in His Word says it is sin, then I will never call it good. If the Lord in His Word says it is good, then I would never call it bad. I am not against people. But God said it and I believe it.”
We’ve only listened to part of the conversation, but I want to tell you, friends, that I totally agree with Ernie. I believe what God says, and that settles it for me. How about you?
