“Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).
It was just a little before sunrise. Allison closed her Bible and just looked out the window facing southeast. She whispered to the Lord, “In just a few moments I need to awaken my children for school. I love my children, Lord, and I thank you for giving them to me. But for just these few moments and then throughout my day, please help me to stop and remember often that You are God and before You I will be still. I will not focus on my problems to where I miss Who You are.” Just then the light of dawn broke through the darkness. It was a tiring day in many ways, and yet it was a glorious day as she often came back to remembering to be still before the Lord.” How will this affect you today?
For today: “Be still” before the Lord today. He wants to bless you.
