“This Jesus has God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus Whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ” (Acts 2:32, 36).
What a change in Peter! Everything changed for him and the rest of disciples on the day that Jesus Christ the Lord arose. Peter stood courageously and preached fearlessly that they were indeed eye witnesses of the risen, living, victorious Savior. “He is the Lord as well as the Christ!” The same is true for believers in every generation. We might not have the exact same audience opportunities that Peter had, but everything has changed for us as well. If He had remained dead, nothing would be different. We would be dead in our sins. We would be helpless and hopeless in approaching the infinitely holy God. But Christ arose. Everything changed. How does belonging to our risen Savior affect you today?
For today: You might not be happy about your circumstances, but you can choose to be joyful in your Savior!
