“All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, He trusted on the LORD that He would deliver him: let Him deliver him, seeing he delighted in Him” (Psalm 22:7-8).
Among the many amazing things concerning God’s Word, near and far fulfillment of Bible prophecy is truly incredible. Here is such a case, dear friends. David writes of his situation in a near fulfillment. He was at that exact time in terrible difficulty. The more he trusted in the LORD, the more his enemies taunted him, derided him, and made fun of his trust in the LORD. In a far fulfillment, this is exactly what happened when our precious Savior went to the cross to take our sins upon Himself. You can read of this prophetic fulfillment in Matthew 27. Think of this blessed truth. Your salvation is offered freely to us because of what our blessed Savior paid so dearly.
For today: I want to live for Christ today. He paid such an extreme price to redeem me. How about you?
