“Karen’s Notes!
Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady”

Selected Notes
Volume 8 Number 16, “Every Church Needs to Have F.U.N.” (Part 2)

It was amazing how many invitations came to Karen. She never advertised. She never promoted herself. In spite of this, she was busy as a ladies’ event speaker. I don’t know where this particular event took place, but I am holding the notes she used.

Karen used an acrostic spelling out the word “FUN.” Last week I shared with you that F stood for “Faith.” Obviously every local church will be greatly blessed when the believers there demonstrate faith.

Today we move to the letter U. Let me share one of the verses she used, and then I’ll pass along just a tiny portion of the notes she shared.

“So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another” (Romans 12:5).

Karen wrote: F stood for faith and now the U stands for “Unity.” It is important to remember that we believers are one body with many members. We are one body! This unity is expressed in matters of doctrine and faith, in fellowship, and even in our vision for the opportunities that the Lord brings to us. The Lord wants us to be going forward in unity.

Michael’s observation: Wouldn’t it be terrible if my left hand started being jealous of my right hand and decided it would no longer work? Wouldn’t it be terrible if my heart started pouting because my lungs were getting too much attention? You get my drift. It would be terrible indeed. Likewise, within the body of Christ it is important to always remember that we are a member along with many other members in one body. Every member working in unity is a great blessing. While we cannot compromise on doctrine, matters of preference and opinion must always be weighed in keeping with unity. My opinion or my preference just might be wrong! My preference doesn’t have to take place. I don’t have to have it “my way!” Oh, the blessings of unity.
