“Karen’s Notes!

Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady”

Selected Notes

Volume 9 Number 10 “You Really Can Trust His Plan!”

March 11th, 2026   Post # 411

I’ve discovered a paragraph that Karen wrote about twenty years ago. I thought it is especially fitting for today. Nine years ago right now, Karen was in her last few weeks before she went Home to be with the Lord. She reached her finish line on April 4th, 2017.

This week would be the start of the last of the times that she was able to whisper to me. Some of her last few words spoken to me was of her love for the Lord, her readiness to go Home to be with Him, her love and concern for our family and me, how glad she was that she said yes when I asked her to marry me, and her trust in the Lord’s plan.

Now I’ve discovered what she wrote over twenty years ago. It was the exact same conviction that helped and carried her through some of the most physically difficult days of her life. Here is the verse, and then I’ll share what she wrote in her Bible study journal.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8-9).

Karen wrote: Submitting to and embracing the plan of God may be the most difficult exercise of all because we view our lives through human eyes and God sees things very differently. God has a plan for each of us, and He wants to bless us in it. He wants us to grow, to abound, and to glorify Him. Rejoice when life is good; and ask for God’s strength to embrace the plan of God for you, even when it is hard. He will see you through, and remember the best is yet to come!

Michael’s observation. Well, Karen, you made me cry! Her words are so very true, friends. This is exactly how she embraced the Lord’s will through the most difficult days of her life. Whatever your situation in life might be today, I want to encourage you to trust His plan even if it doesn’t make sense to you just now. May the Lord not only help you today; but please remember that THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
