“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10).
The last several days we’ve been using this text as a source of encouragement as well as reminder not to face our day in our strength and power. Wise believers know how much they need the Lord and how greatly they need the Lord’s power and blessing in their lives. No amount of education, natural talent, nor years of experience can ever replace the need we have to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. We need this for many reasons. The Lord knows that in ourselves we are not strong enough to face temptations. The Lord knows how strong our spiritual enemies are. How wonderfully the Lord desires to share every area of our lives. That’s why He NEVER says to face life on our own. Quite the opposite is the situation. In His strength and power we press on.
For today: Don’t live in your own strength. If you know Christ as your Savior, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might today.
