“You are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:20).
“Can there be anything more frustrating than to purchase something and it doesn’t work when you get it home?” Sherri asked her group of ladies. It was ladies’ Bible study time on a Thursday morning, and she was sharing some wonderful principles from the Word of God. Over a dozen ladies were at Sherri’s home, and it was a great study. Then they came to our verse for today, and it was like a lightbulb went on. God’s Word was presented in such a practical and powerful way. “Can any of you relate to purchasing something and not having it work?” she asked. Smiles broke out around the table. “Just this week,” Joyce replied, “we bought an end table. It was boxed, and we brought it home to assemble it. All of the hardware was mistakenly not included. It was pretty frustrating,” Joyce concluded. The picture was very personal as each of the ladies thought of the Lord’s sacrifice, His purchase of them. “Guess we best glorify Him,” Mary said in her simple childlike faith. She couldn’t be any more correct.
For today: How will this affect you today?
