“Lord, hear my voice: let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. If Thou, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared” (Psalm 130:2-4).
Have you ever compiled a list of things for which you are thankful? I am sure that many of the folks who are reading this Daily Prescription have either such a list written or a list compiled in their minds. What number on the list would be the fact that our awesome, amazing, holy God forgives sin? By coming to Him through His perfect Son Who lived a perfect life and offered a perfect substitution for our horrible, horrible sins, the Father truly forgives all who place their trust in Christ. I know that’s a lot to put in one sentence. However, that is exactly what is involved in the process of our holy God forgiving sinful people. The national holiday of Thanksgiving is upon us. I don’t know about you, but as for me, this is the item that makes the very top of my thanksgiving list.
For today: Because the Father has forgiven me so many times, I would say rather emphatically that I am a very thankful person. How about you?
