“Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7).
People had such a hard time figuring out what changed in the life of Kenny. Some folks thought he became crazy. Others said that he found religion. Still others thought surely he had a rich uncle who died and left him millions. Kenny was a fretter and found plenty to worry about. Now he was such a different person. The real answer to the change in Kenny’s actions rested in the change in Kenny’s heart. Several months before this Kenny came to trust the Lord Jesus as his Savior. Now after several months of discipleship and learning more about the Lord, slowly but surely, Kenny was learning that when cares and problems arose, He could cast them over on the Lord because the Lord cared for him. While he didn’t always get this straight (and neither do we!) he was learning this glorious, glorious truth. The Lord could be trusted, and He cared for Kenny.
For today: That sounds like it is not only good for Kenny but good for us as well. What do you think?
