“I will love Thee, O LORD, my strength” (Psalm 18:1).
Neal sat in the counseling center and was somewhat argumentative with Pastor Kenward. Neal’s marriage was falling apart, and the pastor was confronting him with the facts that were contributing to the failure of his marriage. One of the greatest fractures came about because of the unloving way Neal lived in his home. His attitude and actions demonstrated the lack of any kind of depth of love for his wife. After Neal left the office, the exhausted pastor returned to his desk and whispered to the Lord, “Neal needs to love his wife, demonstrate it and tell her that he loves her. But Lord, I need to be doing the same with You. I need to be careful that I never become cold and callous when it comes to my relationship with You, Lord. I love You.” How will this impact your life today?
For today: Have you told the Lord, “I love You,” yet today? If not, why not?
