“Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD” (Psalm 106:48).
As you know, the Psalms are divided into five books. Our verse for today closes the fourth book. What a benediction the writer gives. The LORD God is blessed, and He blesses His people. He is from everlasting to everlasting. The Hebrew word is olom or sometimes spelled owlam. It means “forever”! Our great God is from “forever” past, and He remains “forever” in the future. No wonder we praise Him. What are you facing today? No matter how big your situation is, your God is bigger, stronger, wiser, and more than capable of helping you through. I can testify of this to you. You can find incredible help and hope through Him.
For today: Don’t live in denial of your troubles. But on the other hand, don’t live under your circumstances. Keep your focus on Him!
