“He thunders with a majestic voice…God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. For He says to the snow, Fall on the earth” (Job 37:4-6). NKJV
Jack slowly moved the 58,000 gross pound vehicle weight of his snow plow into position. Soon his truck would be fitted with the twelve-foot front plow and the ten-foot wing plow. It would be extremely early in the season, but forecasters were warning that heavy lake effect snow would begin falling within the next twelve hours. State, county, and local road crews were bracing for the first big snow of the season. A lot of folks were grumbling. Not Jack. Every chance he had, Jack reminded folks that his God is sovereign. He thunders and even tells the snow when and where to fall. Isn’t it wonderful to know that our God is sovereign and that we belong to Him?
For today: While I would wish that the snow would hold off for a long time, I am content knowing that when and where snow falls, it is because our sovereign God told it to.
