“But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you brethren beloved of the LORD” (2 Thessalonians 2:13).
Paul writes to the church in Thessalonica and expresses how much he appreciates them and how much they mean to him. The Apostle was a driven man. He knew his calling. He pursued following the Lord, winning the lost, and planting churches with a pace that would exhaust most folks. But there was something that we must never miss. He was loving, kind, courteous, and encouraging to the Lord’s people. He calls the believers “brethren beloved,” and he thanks the Lord for them. May I ask you a question? How are you doing in the same area? We certainly can learn a lot from Paul. If you love the Lord’s people, tell them, and be sure to show them. Never assume that they know. Tell them!
For today: Thanks, Paul. You have set a good example for us!
