“Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of Thy mercy” (Nehemiah 13:22).
Over and over again Nehemiah had to take a stand for righteousness. This time involved people breaking the Lord’s Sabbath regulations. There seemed to be no end to things that could have totally overwhelmed and discouraged Nehemiah. God’s mercy and the promise that the Lord “remembered” him was sufficient for the situation. This remembering has to do with God being mindful of Nehemiah, and what a blessing it was to this dear Old Testament servant. I am hearing from many who faithfully read Dr. Mike’s Daily Prescriptions. There are situations at work and some in extended families in which my readers have to take a stand for righteousness. Rest assured that the Lord is mindful of you and your situation, and His mercy will be yours in the deepest of waters.
For today: Whatever you are facing, it is a blessing to remember that the Lord is walking through it with you, if you know Christ as your Savior.
