“Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift” (2 Corinthians 9:15).

It is a strange era in which I find myself these days. It is hard for me to remember what happened two weeks ago, but I can remember with a good degree of clarity what happened over fifty years ago. I can remember an elementary art class which took place near Mother’s Day. We made a bouquet of flowers out of paper for our moms. I remember carrying it on the long school bus ride home. My excitement grew as we neared my home. I wanted my mom to have the gift I made for her. Running to my home, I can still remember my mom holding her paper bouquet. She delighted in my gift. Looking back, my little gift of paper flowers really did mean a lot to her because it was coming from her young child. How much more precious is the gift that comes to us from our Savior?

For today: Have you thanked the Lord for His gift to you? It is unspeakable!
