“Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon” (Matthew 15:21).
Traveling isn’t easy. It never has been. But traveling in the days when Christ lived on the earth was especially difficult. The mountainous trek was thirty-five miles to Tyre and sixty miles to Sidon. It was a long, hard, difficult journey. But the Lord Jesus intentionally and deliberately made the journey. Matthew emphasized the decision and determination of the Lord Jesus. He traveled that great distance because of a divine appointment. How wonderful to know that we are not an inconvenience to the Lord Jesus. Because of His love for us and His commitment to His Father’s plan, all that we can say is that His sacrifice is beyond description. How will this play out in your life today?
For today: I want to live a life that whispers appreciation to Him all day long. How about you?
