I hope that you have enjoyed the five camping days in the book of Deuteronomy. Moses told this second generation of the children of Israel to think big of God. They would soon be going into the promised land, and they were going to need to trust and obey! He was reminding them that He is their God and He is not only awesome, but He is doing awesome things (Deuteronomy 10:17, 21). God reveals at least five things to these dear folks.

How does this affect us? Remembering that He is our God, we get to love, respect, and obey Him. We rest secure in His relationship and are quieted from our fears.
As we look ahead, we are not overwhelmed because He goes before us (Deuteronomy 9:1-3).
As we look around, we are not terrified because He is among us (Deuteronomy 7:17-21).
As we look within, we are reminded to take heed, He is the jealous God (Deuteronomy 6:13-15).
As we look backward, we rejoice in His wonderful mercy (Deuteronomy 4:31).
As we look upward, we are thrilled with His holiness (Deuteronomy 4:23-24).

For today: Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; Him shalt thou serve…He is thy praise, and He is thy God.” All I can say is hallelujah! Praise His holy name.
