“Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt; but I wholly followed the LORD my God” (Joshua 14:8).
We fast forward forty-five years from the verses we read yesterday. Caleb reported to Joshua that he was ready now to take possession of the land promised to him. He gave a report of how faithfully God had sustained him. At eighty-five years of age, He knew it was time for him to experience owning his own land in THE land! It is amazing to me to see the patience of this dear Caleb. He made the right choice forty-five years later. Others sinned. He was delayed, but he was not a bitter old man. That’s just how I want to be as I grow older. Not bitter, but blessed in knowing that I belong to the Lord.
For today: May today be a sweet day of walking with the Lord and trusting His timing for the details of our lives.
