“This is my beloved, and this is my friend” (Song of Solomon 5:16).

I am in a major writing project. It will focus on staying best friends long after the honeymoon is over. The book will be the third in the “Journey of a Lifetime” series. I am basing it on this verse. The Song of Solomon is not often preached nor taught in our churches. It is the true love story between Solomon and his beloved. Many find the love story also to be a picture of the wonderful love the Lord Jesus has for His beloved, the Church. Think of it! Not only is He our Lord and Savior, He is our Friend. How incredible to know that the Sovereign of the universe would ever desire to be friends with us!

For today: There is nothing any more precious than to remember that He loves us and calls us His friends!
