She was a busy speaker at ladies’ events.
It was amazing how many invitations came to Karen. She never advertised. She never promoted herself. In spite of this, she was busy as a ladies’ event speaker. I don’t know where this event took place, but I am holding the notes she used.
Karen used an acrostic spelling out the word “FUN.”
Last week I shared with you that F stood for “Faith.” Obviously, every local church will be greatly blessed when the believers there demonstrate faith.
Today we move to the letter U. Let me share one of the verses she used, and then I’ll pass along a portion of the notes she shared.
“So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another” (Romans 12:5).
This is just a brief portion of one paragraph:
F stood for faith and now the U stands for “Unity.” It is important to remember that we believers are one body with many members. We are one body! This unity is expressed in matters of doctrine and faith, in fellowship, and even in our vision for the opportunities that the Lord brings to us. The Lord wants us to be going forward in unity.
Can you picture this?
Wouldn’t it be terrible if my left hand started being jealous of my right hand and decided it would no longer work with it? Wouldn’t it be terrible if my heart started pouting because my lungs were getting too much attention? You get my drift. It would be terrible indeed. Likewise, within the body of Christ, it is important to always remember that we are a member along with many other members in one body. Every member working in unity together is a great blessing.
