And the Word was made flesh and dwelled among us (John 1:14).
I would never be politically incorrect for the sole reason of being rebelliously and politically incorrect. However, when it comes to my Savior and my celebration of His grace in coming into this world, taking on Himself humanity to become my Savior, I can NEVER EVER bring myself to comply with “political correctness” in saying, “Season’s greetings.”
I realize that there are various “religious” holidays around this time of year. But as for me, I am so thankful to the Lord Jesus for coming to be my Savior, I can hardly contain myself. Many believers enjoy saying, “Merry Christmas,” and that’s fine. That’s wonderful. Would you like to know what I prefer saying to people in public places?
I prefer saying, “Blessed Incarnation Day to you and yours.” Sometimes the clerk understands and says something like, “Are you a believer, too?” Often, however, I get a blank stare or even the question, “What did you say?” It presents the opportunity to very briefly explain the incarnation and quote John 1:14. No matter how old I grow, I will never get over the amazing grace nor cease to marvel at the incarnation.
I wonder! I just can’t help but wonder with whom I will get to share “Blessed Incarnation Day” today? How about you?
