It is grand to be in love with someone Who not only loves you but loved you first with an absolutely perfect and never-ending love!
When I use the word “perfect,” you immediately know that I am speaking about the Lord and not a human love relationship. That is what Peter was speaking about when he wrote the following.
“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, you love, in Whom, though now you see Him not, yet believing, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory” (1 Peter 1:7-8).
I don’t know what you are experiencing at this very moment. Of this I am sure, if you know Christ as your Savior, even amidst trials and hardships, the Lord Jesus is there with us, holding us, blessing us right here and now. Then a day is coming for the believer when his or her faith will be made sight and the One that we love, having never seen, we shall tremendously love when we do actually, literally see Him.
This causes us to rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory!
Keep looking up! The Lord Jesus is coming for His people. Today just might be the day.
