Today I am thinking of the word “whoosis” (HOO-zis) which is a noun and according to dictionary.com it means “an object or person whose name is not known or cannot be recalled.”

Have you ever encountered the awkward situation when someone came up and said, “Hello there, do you remember my name?” Awkward because you have no recollection of ever meeting that person, say nothing of remembering his or her name! Be encouraged, friend. This has happened to all of us.

How wonderful that we are not a “whoosis” to the Lord! The Lord Jesus Himself said to us, “I am the good shepherd.; and know my sheep, and am known of mine” (John 10:14). How wonderful is this!

I do not know what you are facing at this current moment. But I do want to assure you, as a believer, with the Lord’s help and strength, we can face anything because He holds us fast and even knows us by our name. I hope this is an encouragement to you today. You are not a “whoosis” to the Lord.
