Some things are probably not high on the list of importance to most of us. It’s called “trivia” which actually points to the fact that the details or consideration is of little importance or value.
Here are some trivia questions. I’ll give you the answers in just a moment.
1. Who was the 32nd president of the United States?
2. What was the name of the first satellite launched by the Soviet Union in 1957?
3. What toy was introduced in the 1950s and quickly became a popular craze?
4. What was the name of the Berlin Wall that divided East and West Germany during the 1960s?
5. Which is the largest planet in our solar system?
How did you do on this little trivia quiz? Believe me, friend, there is nothing wrong with not knowing these answers. But even more importantly, probably your day will not be affected if you don’t know any of them just now.
However, it is absolutely, totally, completely important that you do know, truly know, the Lord Jesus in a personal saving way. It is so important to know for sure where you will spend eternity. Knowing the Lord Jesus personally as Savior and knowing that you will spend eternity with Him is the most important thing in life to ever know.
“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life; and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and He that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe in the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God” (1 John 5:11-13). Now friends, that is the most important thing to know in life.
