“Serve the Lord with gladness” (Psalm 100:2).
As believers, we have the privilege of serving the Lord as we interact with people. Life is hard here on earth and there are times that the messiness that comes with brokenness and sin can seem overwhelming. Recently I shared with a group of servants that even though we have served through some very difficult situations, always our service is to be done with gladness!
Several days ago I shared these three blessings with you.
Our focus is still on the Lord Jesus Christ as we learn of Him (Matthew 11:28-29).
Our praise is still being lifted to the Lord as we daily worship Him (Psalm 150:6).
Our trust is still in the Lord, and we acknowledge Him in all our ways (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Yesterday I shared two more blessings with you. They were:
Our confidence is still resting in the fact that He is God indeed (Psalm 46:10).
Our fruitfulness is still being grown by the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
Now today it is my privilege to share several more blessings with you dear friends.
Our kindness to others is still a daily possibility to be a gracious blessing. “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you” (Ephesians 4:32).
Our opportunity to share our testimony is always present. “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear” (1 Peter 3:15).
Our love for our Savior is growing. “Whom having not seen, ye love, in Whom, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory” (1 Peter 1:8).
Combine all these blessings and it’s no wonder the Bible says that we have the privilege of serving the Lord with gladness!
