“O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise Him, all ye people. For His merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth forever. Praise ye the LORD” (Psalm 117:1-2).
From the off-set station came the director’s voice. “All right, folks. We’re set. Lights,” (and the bright and very warm lights in Studio A brightly splashed the various spots used for the television recording). “Quiet on the set, please. Five. Four. Three. Two. One. Roll tape,” and the half hour program was being recorded.
Following the theme song, I welcomed the viewers as I shared Psalm 117 with them. “Think of the greatest treasure that you could imagine,” I said. “Everything pales in comparison with the LORD’S merciful kindness and His truth.” I only had thirty-seven seconds for my welcome; however, throughout the recording with the TV choir and special musical numbers, the listeners were better prepared to listen to the message which focused on these great truths. It was a great taping as well as telecast the Lord used to reach many people. Today it is the same thrilling blessing as well. Think of it! Our God extends His merciful kindness. We can trust Him because His truth endures forever. Wow! What great blessings we have!
For today: I am so glad that I belong to the Lord. How about you?
