“Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, saying, Where is He that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east, and are come to worship Him” (Matthew 2:1-2).
Even though Christmas day is past, are you still celebrating Christmas with your friends and family? I realize that this time of year often has very mixed emotions. In our own family we have loved ones that have gone Home to be with the Lord over the last several years. While we miss them all year long, there is something about the season from Thanksgiving through New Year’s that causes us to miss them even more.
Here is the thought to be focused on today. Wise men came to worship. Wise people still do. Even if you are missing loved ones this year, I hope that your worship of the Lord Jesus is as sweet and precious as it was to the wise men of long ago.
Think about this with me: Worshipping the precious Savior should have the greatest priority in each of our lives today!
