Early in my Bible college education, one of my professors at the Practical Bible Training School, Dr. M.L.Lowe, called the book of Ephesians, “The Spiritual Alps of the New Testament.” He went on to explain that we are lifted into the heavenlies to behold our wondrous Savior, awesome Father, and glorious position to which we are called.
Think of these indescribable things that our amazing Lord has done in the life of the believer.
Blessed us. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 1:3).
Chosen us. “According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love” (Ephesians 1:4).
Predestined us. “Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will” (Ephesians 1:5).
Accepted us. “To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved” (Ephesians 1:6).
Let me be very honest. I fully believe these blessings 100%. However! I don’t begin to grasp the depths of the riches of God’s grace that brings these blessings to those who place their trust alone in His Son. You don’t have to fully understand these. If you know Christ, rejoice today for these and many more of His wonderful blessings.
