“Out of the depths have I cried unto Thee, O LORD. Lord, hear my voice: let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications” (Psalm 130:1-2).
Larry not only had his own deliveries, he was also filling in for Phyllis who was sick. All day long and into the evening, he continued dropping parcels off at the customers’ doors. His back was aching; his feet were sore; he was tired, hungry, and so very glad to finally get home. Wouldn’t you know it? As soon as he sat down at his table for a late supper, the phone rang. It was someone asking him for a donation to a very worthy cause. He returned to his supper, picked up his fork, and the phone rang again. This time he mumbled something like, “Nope! I don’t care who you are. I’m busy. Forget it,” and the phone kept ringing as he continued to eat his supper. We can all understand Larry’s situation. However! Aren’t you glad that the Lord is never too busy? He hears and is attentive, even though His children are calling from all around the world. How awesome is our great God.
For today: Talk with the Lord often. He’s never too busy.
