“Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 1:1).
Paul wrote his precious Epistle to the church in Ephesus and began his letter with a wonderful greeting. The dynamic New Testament Book of Ephesians reveals several absolutely amazing doctrines of God. One of those mysteries that was hidden in the Old Testament era but now revealed in the New Testament era is the incredible church, the body of Christ, consisting of Jews and Gentiles alike. The Lord reveals several things about the church in chapter two. He reveals the foundation of the church (2:20), the formation of the church (2:21), and the function of the church (2:22). The church is the body of believers or ‘called out ones’ that are found all around the world and who meet in various locations. One of the big questions for today is, “Do you know Christ as your Savior? Are you part of the ‘called out ones’ that belong to Him?”
For today: There’s no greater privilege than to belong to the risen Savior Who is building His church.
