“For this God is our God for ever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death” (Psalm 48:14).

The Psalm is a Song for the Sons of Korah. If you have a few moments, read the entire Psalm. You will be blessed. It is a song of great praise and respect for our awesome God. The Psalm concludes with the affirmation of conviction as the writer expresses that this God is His own personal Lord. The Lord can be trusted even through death because He is his personal Guide through life. She held her pastor’s hand a little longer and whispered, “Pastor, I don’t think I will be here much longer. If I go home to be with the Lord before you return, please tell my family and friends that He has been a faithful Guide throughout my lifetime, and I know that He will be the same in my home going.” It was a precious word of assurance shared by her pastor in her service several days later.
