“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23).

It matters what you think about and what you allow yourself to do. Recently there has been the revelation that a wretched and sinful website that promotes adulterous affairs has been hacked and the names of the clients have been released. I’m sure over time there will be more and more disappointing well-known figures that will be named. I want to remind us today that if we allow our hearts or minds to fantasize and flirt with sinful things, we will regret it. I like Young’s Literal Translation of this verse. “Above every charge keep thy heart, For out of it are the outgoings of life.” I need this today. How about you?

For today: My outward actions will be an indication of my inward inclinations. That’s why I need to focus on the Lord.
