Karen’s CT Scan Results are Back

Update for October 30, 2015

We surely appreciate our dear family and friends. You have emailed us and texted to remind us that you are praying. I don’t know how people face situations like this without the Lord. I told several today that we are leaning heavily on the Lord. Nearly two months ago I wrote the following that came up this morning in my Dr. Mike’s Daily Prescriptions.

“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?” (Luke 11:13).

The lesson I want to take with me throughout the day is to remember that I have a perfect Heavenly Father. I do not always fully understand Him, but I do trust Him. I want to love Him more. How about you?

For today: Perfect on this earth I never shall be. However, I do belong to the One Who is perfect in every way.

So we prayed before we left our home and walked into the Cancer Center knowing that the Lord was going before us. Whatever the result of the scan we wanted to glorify the Lord and trust Him fully.

I am relieved to tell you that the result of the scan is that the medicine has stopped the mass from increasing. While it has not decreased any further, we are happy that it has been stopped. The doctor talked to us about some exciting options that we might consider in the future. That’s all I can say about this for now. However, we surely appreciate your prayers and your love for us. We are so very blessed to have you on the journey with us.
