The Result of Karen’s CT Scan is Back
January 8, 2015
The day began early with Karen waking up before 3:00 this morning. The steroids she has to take before chemotherapy surely make it hard for her to sleep. She was able to dose a little but finally around 6:00 she decided to get up. I joined her soon thereafter. We had a great time with the Lord in His Word and with Him personally. Before we left I held her in my arms and committed the outcome of the CT scan to our great God.
The doctor explained to us that the scan results demonstrate that the mass is still being held by the maintenance chemotherapy. While it has not decreased, thankfully it has not increased. The doctor calls this “being stable.” Of course I would have greatly desired that the mass would be gone. However I am very thankful that the maintenance chemo has arrested the progress of the cancer.
Karen has such a sweet attitude and a quietness of trusting the Lord. Here’s what she told me at the infusion center. “Before we went today the Lord really prepared me for our appointment. I really was ready for whatever the results were going to be. I wasn’t sure if the mass had grown or not. But I really had the assurance that the Lord is in charge not matter the results.”
Thank you so much for praying dear friends. We surely appreciate your prayers and friendship. It is wonderful having you on the journey with us.
