“Moreover by them is Thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward” (Psalm 19:11).
The Word of God is that of which King David writes. He speaks about the law, testimony, statutes, commandment, fear, and judgments (19:7-9) which are different titles for God’s Word. How wisely David was living at this point in his life. He knew that obeying God’s Word would result in wise living. Likewise, Joe spoke to several of his friends about the change that the Lord was making in his life. “Before I came to know the Lord, my life was ruined. I was lost in sinful living. Now the Lord is changing my life. Even though I am never going to be perfect here in this world, every day I look forward to reading God’s Word. He is blessing me beyond measure.” One of his friends replied laughingly to Joe, “Maybe I ought to start reading the Bible. You really are different. You’re not nearly as miserable as you used to be!” It was a great conversation that day. How about you? Are you reading and obeying God’s Word? Do you know the Author?
For today: Heed the warning! God knows what He is talking about!
