“I will meditate in Thy precepts, and have respect unto Thy ways. I will delight myself in Thy statutes; I will not forget Thy Word” (Psalm 119:15-16).
Early morning before the break of day, Mike poured coffee into his mug and began to walk away. The day ahead was filled with situations that would demand his attention. His heart was heavy for several pastors who were going through difficult times. He knew that several missionaries around the country were encountering resistance and hardships. Overseas missionaries that were dear to him recently had written of struggles and challenges they face every day. As Mike was walking to his workstation, he glanced into the living room of his home. There his wife had her Bible opened on her lap and her head bowed as she was praying. Whispering to the Lord he said, “Thank You for such a Godly partner in ministry. I know she loves Your Word and so do I. How thankful I am for Your precepts, ways, and Word. How my friends need You as well today.” How about you? Have you had time in God’s Word today?
For today: Yes, I am the Mike. The Lord loves you, and so do Karen and I.
