“And the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain. Then Daniel went to his house and made know to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions: That they would desire mercies of the God of Heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision” (Daniel 2:13, 17-18).

I am sure that this incident is familiar to you. Nebuchadnezzar flew into a rage, ordering all the wisemen to be slain because they could not tell the king the contents as well as the meaning of his dream. Daniel wisely enlisted his companions and to prayer they went. They “desired mercies of the God of Heaven.” God miraculously answered. While our awesome God does not respond in dreams and visions today, He still does indeed answer prayer. Nothing is too hard for Him. Whatever you are facing today, be assured that your situation will not confuse, confound, or overwhelm Him. You can trust Him with your situation.
