“Home From the Hospital”
An Update on My Karen for February 8th, 2017
It is such a privilege and joy to us knowing that so many friends and family have joined us on this cancer journey. You have willingly walked a little while with us as we are traveling along. Today we really sensed your prayers. Thank you so much for praying.
I am happy to tell you that we are home from the hospital. Karen’s procedure went well. Today the Radiology Specialist removed 1.5 liters of fluid from Karen’s abdominal region. Immediately Karen felt relief from the pressure and for this little while was able to eat a fairly good lunch. On the way home from the hospital she said to me, “I know that probably this won’t last long; but right now I actually feel almost normal.”
We were listening to the radio when a song came on about Heaven. We both cried. They weren’t tears of sadness or despair. They were tears of homesickness. While we have much for which to be truly thankful, this old world is not our home. Heaven is home and what a precious reminder of home!
Thank you so much for praying. I just cannot begin to tell you how much this means to us. I will keep you updated when there is more news. Blessings!
