Announcing the Launching of
“Karen’s Notes! Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady!”

In honor of the Homegoing one year ago today of my wife Karen Peck, it is my personal joy and privilege to announce the brand new feature being launched on my website called “Karen’s Notes! Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady.”

I can never begin to communicate to you what a blessing it was to walk with her throughout our married life. Being newlyweds, she made a home for us when we hardly had two nickels to rub together. Our furniture was old hand-me-downs. Our apartment was tiny. We had very little of this world’s goods. But we were in love and thrilled to be married. Often in our prayers, Karen would ask the Lord to help us glorify Him in all that came our way. Glorifying the Lord was the theme of her life.

Karen was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She served the churches I pastored, followed me to Baptist Church Planters where she became the JOY Club Director and a popular ladies’ speaker. All those years she prayed that we would glorify the Lord.

It is little wonder then what I discovered in her Bible the day after she went Home to be with the Lord. In the front fly leaf, she had written: “February 24, 2015- Stage IV Lung Cancer. Not ‘Why, Lord?’ but ‘What do you want me to do, Lord?’ May Christ be glorified in my life.”

I have continued reading in Karen’s Bible. Some of her notes are far too personal and private to share publicly, but I know her well enough to know what I can share. She had a wealth of experiences in her many miscarriages, the birth of her boys, the adoption of many children, busy ministries, and heavy sorrows. Combine all this with the understanding that she was soon bound for Glory, and the result is that Karen’s notes reflect a strong and quiet trust in her awesome Lord. I believe “Karen’s Notes” will bless your life regardless of your situation in life.

Be watching for “Karen’s notes” every Wednesday. You are welcome to copy this, share this, use this in church worship bulletins or message illustrations. Find this and other resources at www.michaelpeck.org.
