“But when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons” (Galatians 4:4-5).
I don’t know about you, but I am totally lacking for words that can adequately express the sense of wonder and awe at the statement, “God sent forth His Son, made of a woman” so that He could redeem us. Down from Heaven, down from His splendor, down from His eternal glory and being made of a woman was the road that our Savior traveled. He never stopped being God; however, He did become fully man. He was 100% God and 100% man. This He did for our redemption. In the busyness of Christmas, I want to keep this glorious thought close to my heart. It will help me to stay focused on the true celebration.
For today: What an awesome Savior to Whom we belong. Do you know Him as your Savior?
