Volume 2 Number 4 ”What an Amazing Savior” January 23, 2019
I love reading Karen’s Bible study journal. Before she became sick, she was preparing for a ladies’ retreat in which she would be speaking about pursuing the Lord’s purpose for their lives by beginning to understand what He did for them. She used these verses in one of the points of her teaching.
“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:17-19).
Karen wrote: Have you ever felt lost in a sea of people? Have you ever felt insignificant and unimportant? Our God views us individually. He even numbers the hairs upon our heads (Matthew 10:30). I was once a lost sinner and apart from Him (Romans 3:23). Now the Lord Jesus has saved me. What a change took place in my life.
Now I am loved unconditionally (John 3:16). Now I have a home eternally (John 14:1-3). Now I am even corrected when necessary (Hebrews 12:5-6).
Michael’s observation: At this point she took the ladies to Ephesians 3:17-19 and reminded them of the sheer joy of Christ dwelling in their hearts by faith and knowing the love of Christ. He indeed is the amazing Savior.
