“In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
The honesty of little children has been the subject of many conversations! The diner was crowded with folks who were enjoying lunch when Peggy’s order arrived. The tuna wrap looked delicious, and she was really hungry. But before she ate, she bowed her head and quietly thanked the Lord for her food. As soon as she opened her eyes, she overheard the youngster at the table nearby as she asked, “Mommy, why did that lady fall asleep before she ate. Is she tired?” The rather embarrassed mom tried to quiet the question as she explained that the lady was thanking God for her food. “Why don’t we thank God, and Who is He, Mommy?” Thanksgiving to the Lord is always appropriate. You just never know what doors it will open!
For today: How will your genuine expressions of thanksgiving be noted by others around you today?
