“Karen’s Notes!
Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady”

Selected Notes
Volume 2 Number 42 “Delightful Bees!”
October 16th, 2019

I was reading some of the notes Karen wrote in one of her Bible study journals about “Bees.” Let me share one of the texts and then a few of the brief notes that Karen wrote. The Bible lists many, many “Be’s” for us to incorporate for daily living as a believer. These are not like the bees which sting us. Rather, these are the Be’s that bless us.

Karen wrote:
• Be still. “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).
• Be sensitive. “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
• Be strong. “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might“ (Ephesians 6:10).
• Be serving. “That ye may approve things that are excellent, that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ” (Philippians 1:10).

Michael’s observation: Paul went on to write to the church at Philippi about many wonderful other “Be’s.” He urged them, “Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind” (Philippians 2:2). These are just a few of the things that must “be” taking place in our lives each day. If we do these things and walk with the Lord, then “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world” (Philippians 2:15) will take place.
