“I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well” (Psalm 139:14).
Let me take you to two scenes across town. In scene one we find the young couple leaving the doctor’s office and their joy was nearly uncontrollable. Less than ten minutes earlier they had seen the very clear image of their little girl on the sonogram. “Fearfully and wonderfully made” ran through their minds as they headed to the car. Across town is scene number two taking place at the University Hospital, where a family is gathered in the surgical waiting area. “He came through the surgery very well,” the well-known Christian surgeon told them. “I truly do believe that we are fearfully and wonderfully made,” the middle-aged wife told him. “I do, too,” was his reply. Think of it! We truly are fearfully and wonderfully made. We pick up a glass of water. We walk across the room. We sleep at night. We breathe, and think, and talk. We are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” Over and over again we see the wonderful work of our awesome Creator.
For today: Have you thanked Him for fearfully and wonderfully creating you?
