“As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him: rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And you are complete in Him, which is the Head of all principality and power” (Colossians 2:6-7, 9-10).
The Apostle Paul strongly reminded the Colossian believers that the transformed life is possible through the Lord Jesus Christ and what He is able to do. It was not by sight but rather by faith that they had come to trust the facts of the gospel and receive Christ as their Savior. Their salvation began at that point, but it didn’t end there. Throughout their lifetime, through the Lord’s power they were to be rooted and built up in Him. They would find strength to be thankful even in difficult times. They would demonstrate the difference Christ makes in one’s life, even in the hard times. This, my friend, is the same transformed life that we believers must demonstrate today. Through these dreadfully difficult days of the coronavirus pandemic, we believers have the great privilege and responsibility of sharing Who Christ is and what He is able to do.
For today: Rather than focus solely on our problems, focus faithfully upon our awesome Savior.
